Reverend Ebenezer Pemberton (1671-1717), son of James and Sarah Pemberton, Minister of Old South Church in Boston, was born 3 February 1671/2 in Boston. After taking his first degree at Harvard College, he remained as the first paid Library-Keeper 1693-97. He married Mary Atwater Clarke in 1701 and after taking his second degree, he was chosen to be a tutor and a Fellow of the Corporation of Harvard College from 1707 until his death in 1717. |
