Daniel Webster (1782-1852) was a graduate of Dartmouth College in 1801. He was a member of Congress from New Hampshire 1813-17, and from Masschusetts, 1823-27. He was a United States Senator from Massachusetts 1827-41 and 1845-50, and Secretary of State 1841-43 and 1850-52. Portrait.
