Portrait. Adult male subject in Colonial dress, waist-length view, facing left three-quarter turn with eyes facing front, his arm resting on the arm of a chair. The subject has brown hair and sideburns, brown eyes and wears a dark brown coat and white shirt. The back of the chair is visible at the middle right and the background is tan with two raised strips of wood running vertically at left of subject. |

Attributed to Chester Harding by an authority on his work, Leah Lipton, in 1983 (ACC Harding); Christie's lists unknown artist in 199__. Martin Burr married Eunice Turner 29 December 1799.
